August 6th 2007 at Buckman School Field

I had the privilege and honor to attend the august 6 HARMOS performance at Buckman School. Wow! I was moved to tears by the very meaningful and beautiful public and community based peace ritual.
From the clarity of the singing bowls to the beautiful “props”, the flute, and percussion players, the well rehearsed dancers, the “lanterns” placed in the audience. It was a magical and poignant evening for me. Chisao Hata did a great job with the very special “spoken word” dialogue to all of us…. and her dancing was gorgeous!
As a victim of the nuclear arms race, I am very pleased that productions like “HARMOS” continue to be performed on this important anniversary (august 6 and 9th) “Never again, never forget” is the only theme that’s appropriate. Thanks for all you’ve done. I appreciate all your efforts to put on such a thoughtful and touching event.
