Seating is on the grass; bring a blanket or chair.On August 4-6th at three Portland Parks and Portland communities in Oregon will have the opportunity to engage in the creation of a public gathering for peace. Workshops leading up to the event will offer a creative process for children and families to create a “human flag” that expresses their feelings and image of peace.
Join Oregon artists Ping Khaw, Chisao Hata, LÃm Quáng & Kestrel Gates for workshops focused on using the creative process for peace and harmony. Symbols, images and words will be used to visualize our inner quest for peace. Images and artwork created during this workshop will be used during the public performances in August 2007. Family and students are welcome to participate. Please RSVP. Free to public, all supplies will be provided.
